About Baraca
Baraca is an international real estate investment and development group operating across Dubai, Bali and South Lombok. Through Baraca Development, we design and deliver high end villa developments, residential projects and hospitality destinations for international investors. We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to lead the structural design of our projects and ensure every building is safe, efficient and built to last.

The Role
You will be responsible for the structural design of our developments, from concept through to construction. You will work closely with our architects to turn ambitious tropical modern designs into safe, buildable and cost efficient structures. Projects range from private villas with large spans and cantilevers to villa clusters, apartment buildings and resort facilities, often on sloped or coastal sites in a high seismic zone.

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural analysis and design for villas, apartment buildings and hospitality facilities
• Design foundations, reinforced concrete, steel and timber structures, including large spans, cantilevers and roof structures
• Ensure all designs comply with Indonesian standards, including SNI 1726 (seismic), SNI 1727 (loads), SNI 2847 (concrete) and SNI 1729 (steel)
• Prepare structural calculations, reports, drawings and details for permit submissions (PBG, SLF)
• Advise architects early in the design process on structural systems, feasibility and cost optimisation
• Review soil investigation reports and determine suitable foundation systems for sloped and coastal sites
• Review contractor shop drawings, method statements and material specifications
• Conduct site inspections at key structural stages, including reinforcement checks before concrete pours
• Assess existing structures when needed for renovations or acquisitions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (S1 Teknik Sipil, structural focus); Master's degree is a plus
• Valid SKK (Sertifikat Kompetensi Kerja) in structural engineering; HAKI membership is a plus
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in structural design
• Clear track record of completed residential and hospitality projects such as villa clusters, resorts, apartment buildings or commercial buildings
• In depth knowledge of earthquake resistant design and detailing
• Advanced proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000 and SAFE
• Experience with Tekla Structural Designer, STAAD.Pro or Robot Structural Analysis is a plus
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is a plus
• Able to work independently and take full responsibility for structural sign off
• Good English communication skills, written and spoken

Nice to Have

• Experience in Bali or Lombok, including hillside and beachfront structures
• Experience with timber, bamboo or hybrid structures common in tropical architecture
• Knowledge of post tensioned concrete and precast systems
• Experience with swimming pools, infinity pools and retaining structures
• Experience with BIM workflows
