As a R&D Manager (Encaps, C&T liquids) you deliver new products to the market and optimize and secure existing portfolio. Coach Development Specialists and Technical Sales Support (TSS) to deliver projects (innovation, renovation, application development, value engineering, supply contingency, factory transfers, factory capex, sustainability, compliance and technology development initiatives) and to role out new and existing products to current and new customers. And part time act as a Project Lead / Sr. Development Specialist for relatively complex projects and programs.

What we ask

• Minimum 6-10 years of relevant experience depending on educational level.
• Minimum level MSc in the field of food technology.
• Experience in innovation/R&D.
• Able to manage a cluster/(sub)department with focus on execution of projects and alignment with stakeholders.
• Knowledge on powder and liquid technologies and relevant applications. Knowledge of Coffee and tea market is a pre.
• Advanced Project Management capabilities. Able to drive decisions.
• Experience in people management
• Understanding of customer and market needs.

Vacancy description

• Drive NPD and transfer projects to ensure all projects are delivered OTIF.
• Together with procurement and supply chain, drive value engineering projects to generate cost savings.
• Manage ideation pipeline for new products and applications.
• Manage R&D resources and SG&A budget.
• Member of Management Team PT Kievit Indonesia, drive alignment for common deliverables.
• Member of change control board PT Kievit Indonesia, to assess and give approval to all change activities.
• Manage raw material database and alternative supplier qualification.
• Manage local R&D SOP.
• Build and maintain network with external APAC customers and suppliers, perform in customer visits next to TSS and Sales by presenting and promoting our current portfolio and new products.
• Build and maintain network of internal stakeholders globally from other disciplines to enable successful and efficient execution of projects/activities.
• Advise the department leader for upcoming project gatekeeping decisions.
• Lead & develop individuals in the team.
• Improve ways of working for successful and efficient project execution.
• Act as Project lead /sr. development specialist for relatively complex projects and programs.
