We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend/Full Stack Developer with a strong background in PHP (specifically Laravel) and Vue.js. As a business based on telephony, any experience with VoIP/PBX is a strong advantage. This role requires someone who is not only a coding expert but also a mentor and a leader who can guide our development team to excellence. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and will be motivated to drive the company’s technical vision forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full stack Development: Build and maintain containerised web applications using PHP (Laravel), Vue.js, VoIP and Docker.
• Mentorship: Guide and support other developers, providing code reviews, training, and helping them grow in their roles.
• Best Practices: Implement and advocate for best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Third party API Integration: Integration of third-party APIs
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and marketing, to deliver features that delight users.
• Startup Mindset: Embrace the challenges and opportunities of working in a startup, showing flexibility, initiative, and a drive to make an impact.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of backend/full stack development experience, with a strong focus on PHP (Laravel) and Vue.js.
• Familiarity with DevOps/Sysadmin: To work closely with a dedicated DevOps team on optimised docker deployments and operations.
• PBX/Telephony: Any experience using PBX (Freeswitch+FusionPBX) and telephony systems is a strong advantage.
• Technical Skills: High proficiency in PHP, Laravel, Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies. A strong understanding and experience of automated testing and CI/CD.
• API Integration: Proven experience in integrating third-party APIs; experience with Salesforce and HubSpot (or other CRM) is a strong advantage.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead a team and improve development processes.
• Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Startup Experience: Previous experience working in a startup or similar fast-paced environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with ML/AI: Python, node or other related tools is a plus.
• Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
