AutoCAD Drafter (Telecom / Oil & Gas)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter with a minimum of 2 years of drafting experience, preferably in Telecom projects within the Oil & Gas industry. Candidates with experience in Electrical or Automation (Instrumentation & Control) engineering projects will also be considered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, modification, and maintenance of engineering drawings and documentation in accordance with project requirements, company standards, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and update AutoCAD drawings for Telecom, Electrical, and Automation systems.

Develop detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and installation documents based on engineer mark-ups and design inputs.

Produce and revise:

Telecom system layouts

block diagrams

Interconnection diagrams

Rack and cabinet layouts

As-built drawings

Installation drawings

Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.

Maintain drawing registers and document control procedures.

Coordinate with engineers, project teams, and document controllers to ensure timely delivery of drawings.

Incorporate comments from design reviews and client feedback into drawing revisions.

Ensure consistency and accuracy of engineering documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Participate in quality checks and drawing reviews before issuance.

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory

Diploma or Technical Certificate in Engineering, Drafting, Design Technology, or related discipline.

Minimum 2 years of experience as an AutoCAD Drafter.

Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D software.

Good knowledge of engineering drafting standards and practices.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.

Preferred

Experience in Telecom systems within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial projects.

Experience working on offshore or onshore facilities.

Knowledge of Telecom systems such as:

Public Address & General Alarm (PAGA)

CCTV

Access Control

Structured Cabling Systems

Telephone Systems

LAN/WAN Networks

Radio Communication Systems

Experience in Electrical and/or Automation (Instrumentation & Control) projects.

Skills & Competencies

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good organizational and document management skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
