Job Description

PT Approved Consultants Indonesia is seeking a Forensic Engineer / Forensic Investigator to conduct forensic investigation for origin and cause of fires, engineering failures & explosions for clients throughout Indonesia. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities:

• Expected to investigate the root cause of failure, extent of damage & option for repair in a variety of mechanical and electrical systems & construction
• To determine the root cause of failure of mechanical & electrical component and systems
• Responsible for determining the origin & cause of fires and explosions in structures and vehicular-type equipment by conducting complex fire and origin & cause investigations.
• Investigates accident scene by gathering evidence/data including still and video photography, witness interview documentation, as well as physical evidence and artifacts.
• Oversees field testing. Collects both onsite and field evidence/data.
• Interview witnesses
• Compiles detailed and comprehensive written investigative reports that document causes of fire /failure or explosion incidents.
• Provides expert testimony based on the determination of the origin and cause of fires and relates findings in a clear and concise manner in depositions and trials.
• Regularly attends/initiates meetings with management.
• Effectively and patiently communicate technical matters to clients after site visits
• Power point presentation on case assigned to loss adjusters or insurance
• Completes projects as assigned

Job Requirements

• Mechanical or electrical engineering experience; Forensic and Insurance/Loss Adjuster experience (preferred, but not required)
• Bachelor / Masters Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• C.F.I. or C.F.E.I. is a plus
• Compile reports with high English standards
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of fuel and associated building and vehicle features, as well as an understanding of fire behavior and building construction.
• Requires travel within Indonesia
• Project management or supervisory experience desired
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively, persuasively, and tactfully interact with clients and employees at all levels of the organization
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills with attention to detail and a high quality of work in a dynamic environment
• Must be able to work independently, efficiently manage your time, and meet deadlines on multiple concurrent projects
• Strong communication skills; verbal and written. Public speaking is a must; effective report writing is critical
• Strong project management, data interpretation, and technical writing skills
• Must be able to quickly adapt to change to meet business needs
• Ability to travel and support project needs both in and out of state
• Demonstrated computer skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must be willing and able to perform all types of field inspections and to work at heights or in confined spaces (roofs, crawlspaces, and in between)
• Must be able to work in inclement weather
• Must be willing to work additional hours as needed during peak times

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Tangerang
